MACON, Ga. — Two men are in jail after deputies reportedly caught them stealing parts off cars in the parking lot of Houston Auto Auction.
According to a news release, the arrest happened around 1 p.m. Sunday after someone called in a suspicious vehicle parked behind the building.
When deputies got to the scene, they found a Ford Mustang that didn’t belong to the business hidden behind one of the buildings.
Deputies searched the auction lot and found a man under one of the cars cutting off a catalytic converter. He was identified at 30-year-old Chad Nolan Roberson.
The search continued, and deputies found 28-year-old Seth Arnold doing the same thing under another car.
Both men were taken to the Bibb County jail and charged with three counts of theft by taking and three counts of criminal damage to property.
