Two dead after fire in Fort Valley

It happened on East Church Street.

FORT VALLEY, Ga. — Two are dead after a house fire in Fort Valley, according to Peach County Coroner Kerry Rooks. 

He says 911 got the call about the fire at 3:11 a.m. 

It happened on East Church Street. 

Rooks says they are working to identify the two who died in the fire.

Rooks said they are still working to determine what started the fire.

Fire Chief Alex Pryor says they are waiting for the GBI to respond to the scene.
