MACON, Ga. — On the fifth day of a heat advisory, people are finding plenty of ways to stay cool.
Whether it’s cooling down by a lake or a dip at a local pool, there’s a few different options to cool down.
One group of kids elected to take advantage of one of Macon-Bibb’s splash pads.
A young Tyler Wood and his friends gathered together to enjoy the water at Rosa Jackson Recreation Center.
“Yeah, I was hot and I wanted to cool down,” Wood said.
While not all the sprinklers were working, the kids said they all had fun playing around in the cold water.
Macon-Bibb has three other splash pads at Daisy Park, Freedom Park and the South Bibb Recreation Center.
More options to cool down can be found here.
