Perry woman battling cancer gets big donation for treatment

During an improv comedy show, the local comedy group Murder with Friends Entertainment put a big smile on Penny Stapleton's face.

PERRY, Ga. — A Perry woman battling breast cancer got a big surprise for Friday night.

During an improv comedy show, the local comedy group Murder with Friends Entertainment put a big smile on Penny Stapleton's face. They announced all the money raised from the sold-out show would be going to her.

Stapleton owns the Daisy Patch Flowers shop in downtown Perry. She continues running the store all while going through chemotherapy, radiation, and other treatments.

The comedy group says her optimism and sense of humor through it all inspired them to help.

Congratulations, Penny!
