Person in hospital after being hit by pickup truck in Forsyth, per police report

They say the collision happened around 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

FORSYTH, Ga. — A pedestrian was struck by a car in Forsyth on Friday afternoon, according to a press release from the Forsyth Police Department. 

The release says they were hit at the intersection of West Main Street and North Lee Street around 2:00 p.m. on Friday. They say the investigation was turned over to the Georgia State Patrol.

A report from the Georgia State Patrol says the pedestrian was attempting to cross the Main Street crosswalk lane when they were hit by a pickup truck attempting to turn left onto Main Street.

Per the report, the pedestrian was taken to a local medical facility for treatment and is in stable condition.
