Parts of Jones County lost water for around three hours on the 4th of July but now it's restored

Water is restored to the affected areas.

JONES COUNTY, Ga. —

Update 1:06 p.m.:

Water has been restored to the affected areas.

Parts of Jones County are without water on the 4th of July, according to a Facebook post from the Jones County Water Department.

Outages affect Upper River Road, Curtis James, and Plentitude Church Road areas. 

"We apologize for this outage on the 4th of July. I can assure you, we would love to not be playing in mud today and be with our families grilling out. Please be patient with us as none of these outages are ever scheduled," the post said. 

Crews are already out and working to fix the issue. They said more are also on the way to help.
