MONROE COUNTY, Ga. — One person is dead after a fatal motorcycle crash on Highway 87 in Monroe County, the Sheriff's Office said.
In a press release, they said that a person driving a pick up truck was attempting to turn into their driveway around 6 p.m. on Saturday.
They said the motorcycle, which had a driver and a passenger, attempted to pass the truck, but collided with the pickup truck on Highway 87
According to the press release, the passenger on the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to a Macon hospital and is currently in critical condition
The accident is still under investigation and the names of those involved have not been released.
