City of Milledgeville water customers may experience outage

Crews will be working to replace a broken water main Monday, and outages are expected.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — Some customers in the city of Milledgeville’s water system may experience an outage Monday.

According to city manager Hank Griffeth, it’s because they need to replace a broken water main on South Wayne Street.

As a result, customers on South Wayne Street between Greene Street, Swint Avenue, and Andrews Street may experience an outage.

A boil water advisory will be issued after the water main is replaced.

Griffeth also says customers in the area of West Washington Street and West Greene Street may experience an outage in an effort to take pressure off the broken main.
