WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A boil advisory for an area in Warner Robins has been lifted.
The boil advisory comes after a water main break happened in the Highway 247 and Sandy Run area on Friday afternoon.
According to Mandy Stella with the Warner Robins Mayor's Office, a contractor hit a water main in the area and water was shut off.
A news release from the Warner Robins Mayor's Office said the City of Warner Robins utilities customers on Charlestown Way, St. Augustine Drive, Piedmont Lane, and Harmony Path were advised to boil all water prior to use.
The release said the advisory would be in effect for 24 hours, depending on water testing after repair of the main. A second advisory will be issued when the alert is lifted.
People who have been without water or have low water pressure were advised to boil all water before drinking, cooking, or preparing baby food. The water should be boiled for at least one minute after reaching a rolling boil.
The advisory is lifted and water is reported safe to drink.
