FORSYTH, Ga. — A murder suspect turned himself in on Saturday after a man was shot and killed at a Forsyth apartment complex.
Major Alexander Daniels with Forsyth Police says a man was shot at the Union Hill Apartments at 235 Union Hill Drive around 11 p.m. Friday.
41-year-old David Jordan died from a gunshot wound. That’s according to Mary Chandler, special agent in charge of the GBI's Milledgeville office.
Chandler says there was an arrest warrant for 32-year-old Jazma Banks, and they also have a search warrant for his apartment.
She says the two were arguing when Banks shot Jordan. People in the Union Hill Apartment complex said Jordan did not live there and he was found dead in a walkway outside last night.
Banks turned himself in on Saturday and is now being questioned.
Chandler says the autopsy is complete and it the death is ruled a homicide.
The GBI will likely release further information on the case later today, Chandler says.
