88-year-old man dead after car wreck in Wilkinson County

The 88 year old man crashed into a tree on Mt. Carmel Road on Saturday and died a day later, according to the Wilkinson County Sheriff's Office

WILKINSON COUNTY, Ga. — A man is dead after a wreck in Wilkinson County, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

It happened on Saturday as 88 year old James Jones was driving on Mt. Carmel Road in McIntyre. He swerved out of the roadway and crashed into a tree.

He was transported to Atrium Health Macon, where he died from his injuries on Sunday around 2:45 p.m., according to the Wilkinson County Sheriff’s Office.
