Man dead after auto accident in Crawford County, sheriff's office says

A press release said it happened sometime after 8:30 p.m. on Friday

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ga. — A man is dead after a Utility Task Vehicle accident in Crawford County, according to a Crawford County Sheriff’s Office press release.

The release said Danny Kelly, 64, was involved in a UTV accident within the 3600 block of Jackson Road. It said it happened sometime after 8:30 p.m. on Friday.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, troopers found a 2013 Can Am Commander 1000 lying in a ditch.

They said he was going south on Jackson Road when he lost control of the UTV, which caused it to flip on its side and land in the ditch.

When the UTV flipped, Kelly was ejected and landed in front of the UTV in the ditch.

It added that the Crawford County native was transported to Atrium Navicent Health in Macon, where he died from his injuries.

Deputy Coroner Randall Pate pronounced Kelly dead, the release said.
