Passenger dead after single vehicle wreck in Putnam County, sheriff says

Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills said the accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Friday

PUTNAM COUNTY, Ga. — A man is dead after a single vehicle car wreck Friday night in Putnam County, sheriff Howard Sills said.

Sills said Sean Barrett, 22, was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe that was towing a utility trailer on Scott Road near Lena Lane around 10:30 p.m. He added that Keandre Briscoe, 24, was riding in the vehicle with Barrett.

Sills said the truck left the roadway, hit a utility pole and turned over.  He said that Briscoe was found dead when the Putnam County Sheriff's Office arrived. Sills said that Barrett was not injured.

The sheriff said the crash is still under investigation. 13WMAZ will update the story as more information becomes available.
