MACON, Ga. — A man was arrested on Monday after leading Bibb County Sheriff's deputies on a brief chase and damaging three patrol cars, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
They say it happened at 7:24 a.m. when the 911 center got a call about a suspicious car parked outside a home in the 2200 Block of Old Holton Road.
When deputies arrived they found a silver Kia Forte in the driveway and tried to talk to the driver.
The driver immediately fled and led deputies on a brief chase. During the chase, the release says the suspect intentionally rammed into three patrol cars.
One deputy sustained minor injuries.
The driver, 31-year-old Jonathon Shadwick, was arrested on Riverside Drive.
He was taken to a medical facility to be treated for minor injuries and then taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
Shadwick faces charges of probation violation, driving on a suspended license, failure to maintain lane, felony fleeing and eluding law enforcement officers, and three counts of aggravated assault on a peace officer.
According to jail records, Shadwick's bond was set at $22,000.
