The sheriff's office says the newly-released images were taken on the same day Albert Knight was killed while sleeping in a downtown Macon alley.
MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff's Office shared new images Tuesday of a man they believe may be involved in the killing of a homeless person in a downtown Macon alley over a month ago.
They say the photo was taken on the same day that 59-year-old Albert Knight was bludgeoned to death behind the Blacksmith Shop event venue in an alley off Poplar Street. The sheriff's office says Knight was sleeping at the time he was attacked.
According to a timestamp attached to the surveillance footage, the newly-released photos were taken May 24 just before 10:25 a.m., which is two days before Knight's body was found on May 26.
The photo appears to show someone wearing a hard hat and a nearly identical shirt walking past the Macon Visitor Center on MLK Boulevard in downtown. It also appears the person could be carrying the same bag as the person in Knight's killing.
