MACON, Ga. — Editors Note: the video attached to this story is from previous coverage.

The incident report in the death of Albert Knight — a homeless man found bludgeoned to death in a Macon alley — reveals new details about the discovery of Knight's body.

Knight's body was found in First Street Lane near the backside of the Blacksmith Shop event venue on Sunday, May 26.

According to the incident report, Knight was asleep when he was killed, with the Bibb County Sheriff's Office saying he was hit multiple times with a large, heavy object.

Paramedics with Atrium Health Navicent told deputies that they touched Knight's body and found "he was cold and stiff." They told deputies they did not touch anything else on the scene.

When law enforcement arrived on the scene Sunday morning, a blanket covered Knight's face and was halfway over his body. Next to him was an orange and gray backpack.

The details in the incident report make it seem like his body had been on the scene for quite some time before he was discovered. We asked the sheriff's office and the coroner's office for more information about when Knight died, but we're waiting to hear back.

Now, the sheriff's office is still looking for the suspect and they're asking for the public's help finding them.

A video released by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office also shows the suspect in the case holding a large object in his hand by the side door to the Blacksmith Shop. The object is blurred out, but it shows the suspect wearing orange gloves.

The sheriff's office said the suspect was a white man with glasses, who was wearing a ball cap, a green shirt that possibly says “Hilton Head Island Bike Shop” in white letters, denim jeans and black shoes.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office told 13WMAZ there have been many tips that have come in that they've followed up on.

Sheriff David Davis said they've spoken with the local bus lines and businesses to ask them to keep an eye out for the suspect.

We asked Davis if he thinks the suspect is local or from out of state, and he said all options are on the table right now.
