MACON, Ga. — A man shot at a gas station on Spring Street just over a week ago has died from his injuries, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
They say Tavarus Hunter, 40, was pronounced dead at Atrium Health Navicent on Monday.
According to the press release, Hunter was shot at around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Exxon gas station on Spring Street.
When deputies arrived, they say Hunter was found suffering a gunshot wound.

No one else was hurt during the shooting, but they say the circumstances of Hunter's death are still under investigation.
