Man shot, in critical condition, after possible aggravated assault in Macon, sheriff's office says

The man was shot around 3:30 a.m. early Sunday morning.

MACON, Ga. — A man is in critical condition after he was shot early Sunday morning near Ingleside Avenue, according to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office press release.

The release said a 32-year-old man was shot around 3:30 a.m. on Sunday within the 300 block of Rogers Avenue near the intersection of Rogers Place.

The man, according to the release, was transported to a local hospital for treatment, where he is still in critical condition.

The release said the sheriff's office is currently investigating the shooting for aggravated assault. They are also investigating what led up to the shooting.
