Keep Dublin-Laurens Beautiful celebrates America Recycles Day

Keep Dublin-Laurens Beautiful invited people out on Saturday to recycle old electronics and unneeded documents and other paper products.

DUBLIN, Ga. — Keep Dublin-Laurens Beautiful held its celebration of America Recycles Day on Saturday.

The organization teamed up with the Laurens County Solid Waste Management Authority and Shred Cycle to help Laurens County take another step up on recycling.

Keep Dublin-Laurens Beautiful made their way to the Solid Waste Recycling Center on Broad Street in east Dublin and collected various recyclables, waste electronics and confidential documents to be shredded.

Shred Cycle provided four containers to place documents into and a shred machine was out at the event to take care of all the papers.

The event brought out a steady flow of cars, as people came and went to drop off their electronics and unneeded documents

It ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
