Macon man charged with murder in fatal fentanyl death, sheriff's office says

They say he was connected to the fatal overdose of Joshua Owen Negri back in April 25.

MACON, Ga. — A man is in jail on murder charges over an April overdose in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.

29-year-old Travion Lorenzo Veal was arrested in connection to the Fentanyl overdose of Joshua Owen Negri, 34, the sheriff's office said. 

Negri had died in an overdose back in April 25 on Pelham Way. 

Veal had already been in jail on other drug charges. They say he is being held without bond. 

A press release from the sheriff's office did not offer many details on how in particular Veal was tied to the case.
