Donald Trump to hold rally in Macon as election enters final stretch, campaign surrogates flood into Georgia

The campaign has not released all the details yet, but they say Trump is set to hold a rally on Sunday in Macon.

MACON, Ga. — Just two days before election day, Former President Donald Trump is set to hold a rally in Macon on Sunday, making his final-stretch campaign pitch to Central Georgia’s voters.

The campaign says Trump's Macon rally will be his final event in the Peach State before election day on Tuesday.

Trump's visit comes as both the Trump/Vance campaign and the Harris/Walz campaign set their sights on voters in Georgia, with Democrats hoping they can repeat their success flipping Georgia blue in 2020 and Republicans attempting to flip Georgia red again.

The campaign says many of the details are still under wraps — including what time the event will be held — but they confirm that Trump will be speaking here in Macon.

A campaign source says they are planning on holding the rally at the Atrium Health Amphitheater at the Macon Mall.

It's unclear at this time how to attend the event or where to get tickets. We will update this story as more information is released.

While Trump is the first top-of-the-ticket candidate to visit Macon, various campaign surrogates have descended on Macon in recent months, ranging from Jill Biden set to visit Macon on Saturday, Democratic Vice Presidential Candidate Tim Walz visiting in September and his wife, Gwen, knocking on doors in Macon on Thursday.

Additionally, the day before Trump speaks in Macon, his competitor Harris is set to hold a campaign event in Atlanta on Saturday.

Trump's Vice Presidential pick JD Vance was scheduled to hold an event in Macon, but it was canceled due to Hurricane Helene.

After the deluge of attention on both sides, both campaigns are making their final pitch to voters as early voting totals set records and the campaign enters its final week.

Polls open on election day at 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
