MACON, Ga. — Correction: The Bibb County Sheriff's Office incorrectly reported Byrd's age. He is 27, not 17.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office needs your help finding a man that they say is a person of interest in a north Macon homicide.
According to a news release, they’re looking to question 27-year-old Quinterious Byrd.
He’s a person of interest in the murder of 37-year-old Michael Lewis on January 20.
Investigators say Byrd is known to frequent east Macon and has family in Monroe County.
Lewis was found dead on January 20 after a man heard gunshots outside his home on Oakhill Court and went to see what was going on.
Lewis was found in the homeowner's yard with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
