MACON, Ga. — Hundreds of people came out ready to rock and roll at the Skydog 73 music festival at Central City Park Sunday afternoon.
The festival began as Skydog 60 and was held on Duane Allman's 60th birthday.
The concert is an annual event commemorating his life and music, but also it gives back to the community.
Each attendee had to bring five items listed on the event page, like socks and deodorant, in order to get in. All those items were donated to the Daybreak homeless shelter on Walnut Street.
Terrell Hawes comes to the festival every year. He said it's something he always looks forward to.
"It's a family reunion. Everybody comes down. It's for a good cause, good music. We just hang out," he said.
This is the 14th year the Skydog 73 music festival has been held. The event wrapped up at 5 p.m. Sunday.
