MACON, Ga. — The Cherry Blossom Festival always crowns a queen, but they also have crowns for a younger generation.
On Saturday morning the 2020 Little Mr. and Miss Cherry Blossom Coronation took place at Wesleyan College.
Kids ages 4 to 6 rocked the runway wearing pink and answered some interview questions – just like a real pageant.
The little Mr. and Miss Cherry Blossom will serve as ambassadors for the festival, appearing at local and regional events throughout the year.
“They walked out on stage and showed their best pink attire and had a little interview and they talked about what they like to do for fun,” Miss Cherry Blossom Michaela Heide said. “And just different things about their school and we got to get to know them.”
Adalaide Richardson was crowned the new Little Miss Cherry Blossom and Walden Weatherford was crowned the new Little Mr. Cherry Blossom.
The 2020 Cherry Blossom festival starts March 27 and runs through April 5.
