MACON, Ga. — A 57-year-old man is dead after a motorcycle wreck in Macon Tuesday morning, according to Macon-Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones.
A press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office says it happened around 6:30 a.m. at the I-75 south on-ramp near Butler Toyota.
The release says it was reported a 56-year-old woman was traveling south on Riverside Drive in a Honda Civic, when she made a left turn to get onto the highway.
The woman collided with a Harley Davidson motorcycle that was traveling north on Riverside Drive, the release says.
The sheriff's office says the driver of the motorcycle, William Money of Macon, died on scene. The driver of the Honda Civic had minor injuries.
Georgia State Patrol was on scene investigating the wreck, and the sheriff's office says no charges have been filed at this time.
Anyone with information can call the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at 478-751-7500.
"It's been a horrible month for Macon-Bibb," Jones said.
He says so far in January, the county has had three suicides, three homicides, and one fatal fire.
