Man arrested, charged after burglary in East Macon

The suspect was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and does not have a bond.

MACON, Ga. — A man was arrested and charged after a burglary at Rush Mixed Martial Arts & Fitness in East Macon, according to a press release from The Bibb County Sheriff's Office

They say the robbery happened around 1:25 a.m. on Wednesday. 

Witnesses reported an unknown man was behind the counter but when deputies arrived, the man ran from the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Deputies found the man a few blocks away.

48-year-old Russell Harrison was charged and the money was returned to the business.

Harrison was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. He currently has no bond.
