LaGrange company's truck killed man behind Bonaire Kroger, but many details 'still unclear'

David Bryant Webb, 59, was from Manchester, Georgia, according to Houston County Coroner James Williams.

BONAIRE, Ga. — A man was struck and killed by a sanitation truck Tuesday morning behind the Bonaire Kroger.

His name is David Bryant Webb. He was 59.

Warner Robins Police Department is investigating if Webb and the driver of the truck knew each other.

"At some point prior to it, we got indications that they were around the unit to hook up to the trash receptacle unit to be loaded," Sgt. Randy Evans said.

Evans said the truck driver was 55 or 56 years old.

According to police, the two men were seen working near the dumpster behind the strip mall just before the accident.

Webb was from Manchester, Georgia, according to Evans.

The truck came from "a company out of Lagrange" he said; CNC Sanitation.

Evans said folks in the area told police they saw the men nearby one another before the accident, but isn't sure of the exact nature of their relationship.

He said the driver was operating the truck alone.

However, "it's still unclear what the exact role the pedestrian played in it if he was a worker, or a helper or exactly what," Evans elaborated.

13WMAZ reached out to the truck company for a comment, but they did not return our call.
