Inmate dead at Baldwin State Prison, Georgia Department of Corrections says

They say Vincent Dyer died after fighting with an inmate. Dyer was serving life with parole for a murder in Cobb County, per the report.

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ga. — An inmate died in Baldwin State Prison this week, according to a report from the Georgia Department of Corrections.

They say Vincent Dyer died after fighting with an inmate. Dyer was serving life with parole for committing a murder in Cobb County, according to the report.

They say the body was given to the Baldwin County coroner and will be taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab to determine the cause of death.

They say the death is being investigated by the Georgia Department of Corrections' Office of Professional Standards, as per standard procedure. As a result of that standard procedure, additional details are not available at this time.
