The Georgia National fair by the numbers: Here is how this year stacks up

While total attendance did not break records, the first Friday attendance set an all-time high of 43,594 daily visitors.

PERRY, Ga. — The Georgia National Fair came to an end last weekend. Now, let's see how this year's numbers stack up in comparison to previous years. 

According to a press release from Marketing Director Maggie Lane, the over 11-day event has a total Fair attendance of 487,874 visitors. 

Economic impact estimates based on figures from a University of Georgia study equivalate Fair attendance to over $42 million in value generated from the 11-day event. 

The release says while total attendance did not break records, the first Friday attendance set an all-time high of 43,594 daily visitors.

There is around a 50,000 visitor difference compared to last year which saw more than 540,000

The fair in 2019 still holds the highest fair attendance.

The 34th Georgia National Fair provided Fairgoers with almost $900,000 in free entertainment. 

Reithoffer Shows, the family-owned and operated ride midway provider, celebrated their 34-year partnership with the Fairgrounds, offering 90 rides and 8 armband nights to guests.

“Thank you to this community, our law enforcement and first response partners, Fair volunteers and staff, the state of Georgia, corporate partners, livestock exhibitors and of course, our faithful Fairgoers. This event continues to be a success because of the people who love it and attend year after year," Fairgrounds Executive Director Stephen Shimp said.

Plans are already underway for next year's fair, and the event will be held October 3-13, 2024.
