FORSYTH, Ga. — A man wanted in Bibb County for conspiracy to commit murder was arrested on Friday after being entangled in a string of car break-ins in Monroe County, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
They say Eimyre Poole, 25, was arrested on seven counts of breaking into vehicles and two counts of trespassing, but they say he also was wanted by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office in connection to an August 2023 murder investigation.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says multiple cars were broken into during the early hours of Friday morning at Sara Kay Lane near Bolingbroke. They say those break-ins happened at around 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. Friday.
Eventually, the sheriff's office identified a car connected to the break-ins, a silver Nissan Rogue from Bibb County.
They found the car — which was owned by Poole — at Van Zandt Drive in Bibb County at around 1 p.m., the press release said. That's when they also learned about his conspiracy to commit murder charge out of Macon.
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says he has been tied to the fatal shooting of Calvin Hugley Jr, who was killed at the corner of Woodard Ave and Carnation Street back in August 2023.
Earlier this year, another man, 24-year-old Dequavia Pollard, was arrested and charged with murder in Hugley's death. The sheriff's office says the case is still under investigation.
Poole is booked into the Monroe County Sheriff's Office on his entering auto charges and criminal trespassing charges.
