MACON, Ga. — Food lovers in Macon got a chance to experience a new taste at every corner on Sunday at the 7th annual Food Truck Fest.
Little Max Hammock says he got all the red flavors from "Pinky's Shaved Ice."
"Watermelon.. strawberry.. cherry.. um tiger blood," he said.
Pinky's was just one of the food trucks over at Martha Bowman United Methodist Church.
They hosted their Food Truck Fest from noon to 6 p.m.
The campus had a number of food trucks, bouncy houses, and games for the kids, as well as live music!
Foodies had options like "street food" from the Mad Greek food truck, or other menu options like seafood, funnel cakes, and ice cones.
Sierra Horton and Michelle Parham say this is a great event for the community to come together.
"I just love coming out and seeing some of my fellow Maconites coming out enjoying fellowshipping and just seeing everybody come to the food trucks. It looks really good for Macon," Parham said.
Vendors were able to participate for free.
However, they were asked to donate some of their proceeds to the church ministry partners, like Cross Roads Recovery.
