ROBERTA, Ga. — Nine students were taken into custody after a brawl at Crawford County High School Wednesday morning.
That's according to Roberta Police Chief Ty Matthews. He says the students will be charged in connection with the fight.
Matthews says no teachers were injured and no students had major injuries. One student had a cut to the hand but was treated by EMS.
Classes continued as normal at Crawford County High School after the fight and a brief message to parents on the Crawford County High School website says there was a "brief altercation involving several students."
The message goes on to say the students were detained and removed from the school building.
Superintendent of Crawford County Schools Brent Lowe says it's still an "ongoing investigation."
