Central Georgia natives flock to Lake Tobesofkee to enjoy Labor Day weekend

People said they enjoyed getting away from crowds, do a little fishing and enjoy the scenery

MACON, Ga. — Central Georgia natives are looking to take full advantage of the Labor Day weekend.

The holiday, which usually brings the end of summer, has encouraged several to enjoy time in the sun or simply relax.

As such, several people went out to Lake Tobesofkee to enjoy their afternoons on the lake.

People there said they love coming out to the lake, as its an opportunity to get away from crowds the higher populated areas of Central Georgia.

Several people enjoyed spending the day out on a boat, fishing or simply enjoying the scenery.

Boats on the lake are allowed to stay on the lake all night as long as they have proper equipment, like navigation lights, which are red and green headlights and an all around white anchor light.
