DUBLIN, Ga. — School's almost out, and this time of the year marks a major milestone for high schoolers.
"I have to figure out what I wanna do when I get older," Antonio Brack said.
Brack's a junior at Dublin High School. Like many of his classmates, he's spent most of his school years in Dublin City Schools (DCS).
Including Celeana, who's going to college to become a nurse practitioner, and Dwane, who plans on joining the Air Force.
He said his JROTC instructor inspired him to do something meaningful with his life.
You can learn a lot from the right mentors, like the CTA Director Ben Lanier, a product of DCS.
"Dublin City Schools education sent me to the University of Georgia on a presidential scholarship, and I actively chose to come back to Dublin to give back to this place I love so much," Lanier said.
He's been coordinating the career fair where the high schoolers can network.
"It'll expose me to many different industries that I could possibly be working in for the rest of my life," Brack said. "That's a major thing that can not only help me but every student at Dublin High School, and even beyond that."
Other students shared the sentiment.
"We did mock interviews two months ago that was a great experience to have because that was my first interview that happened with somebody else," Taj Carswell said.
Students from Moore Street School and Dublin High are invited to the career fair happening from 9 a.m. until noon on Wednesday, May 15.
Over 40 Central Georgia businesses are signed up to network and present job opportunities to the students, Lanier said.
Industries spanning from medical, restaurant service and law enforcement fields have RSVP'd to showcase companies with job opportunities available.

Lanier is also the CEO of the college and career academy. He says his programs try to expose the students to career pathways that don't require a four-year college education, and the career fair is meant to showcase some of those choices.
"This year we're proud to say our end-of-pathway pass rate is 96.7%," Lanier said. "That really underscores the fact not only are we teaching the right things, we are aligning with industry needs for our students."
