Baldwin County deputy arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting an inmate, GBI says

Emmanuelle Robinson, 25, of Macon is accused of sexually assaulting an inmate while working at the Baldwin County jail, the GBI said in a press release.

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ga. — A Baldwin County jailer has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting an inmate, according to a press release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

They say Emmanuelle Edward Robinson, 25, of Macon turned himself in last Wednesday on charges of sexual contact by a person with supervisory disciplinary authority.

According to a press release, the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office received reports that Robinson sexually assaulted an inmate at the Baldwin County jail. On Sept. 12, they say the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office asked the GBI to help with the investigation.

Then, on Dec. 6, Robinson turned himself into the Baldwin County Detention Center, the GBI says, where Robinson once worked as a guard.
