4th person charged with south Macon murder

30-year-old Johntavies Coleman was found shot to death in the doorway of a home last week

MACON, Ga. — A fourth person was arrested Wednesday in connection with a south Macon homicide.

According to a news release, Bibb deputies, along with Twiggs deputies and the U.S. Marshals arrested 26-year-old Terrance Ates around 8 a.m. at his home on Hampton Road.

He's charged with the Jan. 30 murder of Johntavies Dangelo Coleman.

The fourth arrest comes less than a day after Bibb investigators announced the arrest of two men and a teenage girl in the same case.

According to a news release, deputies took 17-year-old Johniya Chappell into custody at their office after interviewing her on Feb 2.

Then, on Feb. 3, deputies served warrants on two Macon men in the 1000-block of Scotland Avenue.

They were identified as 27-year-old Shawn Robinson and 20-year-old Xytwuan Calloway.

All four are charged with the Jan. 30 murder of Johntavies Dangelo Coleman. 

He was found shot to death in the doorway of a home on Moreland Avenue.

They are all being held without bond.
