MACON, Ga. — Three men were arrested in connection to a burglary of a truck repair shop on Houston Road in south Bibb, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Joseph McCranie, 53, Joshua Mobley, 34, and Jonathan Wiley, 56, were all arrested on various felony burglary charges in the 1600 block of west Macon.
Two were found in the house and quickly arrested, while the third was found underneath the house and also arrested.
According to the release, the three reportedly broke in and stole from Gear and Axle Truck Service on Monday around 6 p.m. They loaded up a vehicle with things from the store and left.
The release said a witness saw the trio on Tuesday inside the vehicle at a business in the 4400 block of Broadway in east Macon. The release added they had another vehicle with them.
After the witness called the Sheriff’s Office, the three took off and left the other vehicle behind. The release said that the Sheriff’s Office later discovered that the vehicle was stolen.
The release added that investigators eventually found the three and arrested them.
The Sheriff’s Office charged McCranie with felony second degree burglary and theft by taking auto, while Mobley and Wiley were both charged with first degree burglary. Wiley is also wanted in Jones County.
The release said the trio are being held at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center without bond.
