MACON, Ga. — A Macon man is dead after his wife shot him in the chest on Monday afternoon.
Macon-Bibb County Sheriff David Davis told 13WMAZ that deputies got a call about a domestic dispute just after 1 p.m. in Macon’s Village Green neighborhood.
He says the dispute led to 48-year-old Tomeko Blash shooting 61-year old Albert Blash in the chest in the 5900-block of Leone Drive.
Bibb Coroner Leon Jones says he pronounced Blash dead around 2 p.m.
Davis says Tomeko and Albert were newlyweds and had only been married for about three weeks.
He says deputies have not gotten any other calls to the Blash house and that their neighbors and friends did not know about any issues in the relationship.
Davis said Tomeko’s teenage daughter was inside the house when the shooting happened, but she did not hear or see anything.
Tomeko is charged with manslaughter and is being held without bond at Bibb County Jail.
