Sheriff: Man found hiding in air duct at a home near Rocky Creek Road after robbing a gas station

The robbery happened at the Texaco on Eisenhower Parkway.

MACON, Ga. — A man was arrested for the robbery of a Macon gas station, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

It happened on Friday morning at the Texaco on Eisenhower Parkway. The suspect pushed past the clerk and stole money from the cash register and drove away in a silver Cadillac Escalade.

Investigators found the car in the 5000 block of Storey Drive near Rocky Creek Road. 

They found Darious Alexander Mims of Macon, hiding in an air duct at the house. He was arrested and charged with Robbery and Felony Probation Violation. Mims currently does not have a bond.
