PEACH COUNTY, Ga. — Friends, family and classmates turned part of North Peach Park purple for Michaela Chaney after she was killed. The entire night was planned by the Peach County High School class of 2018.

Keshawn Brown remembers his classmate as a positive person.

"Beautiful girl, beautiful soul — just full of life," Brown said.

Chaney was reported missing by her mother, Tomeka Chaney. Now, it's been almost a week since she was found dead. Her Peach County classmates decided to do something for her and her family.

"We over the top anyways and if it was any one of us, Michaela would've been here doing the same thing we just done for her," Watson said.

Michaela Chaney was a cheerleader at Peach County High School. She was found dead last weekend.

Thaddeus Adams describes his classmate Michaela as the life of the party.

"She's gone be there for a good time. She's not there to bring the party down or bring anybody down. She's there to lift everybody up, and get them to her level. She's a real outgoing person," Adams said.

Tomeka expressed her gratitude for the love and support her family has received. Watson said this is just what their class does.

"If you [need] anything, we'll be there to support you. We all came together in a time of need right now, and it's good that we can all rely on each other, to lean on each other in this time of need," Watson said.

Brown said life might pull them in different directions, but when push comes to shove, they'll show up.

"End of the day we all may have our differences and everything like that, when it comes down to being there for each other, I feel like we got that you know. We always been like that, so we just got to keep it going," Brown said.

Michaela's uncle Curtis Parker lost his daughter to domestic violence over 10 years ago. He wants people to speak up when it comes to say something if they see something.

"I lost my niece and I lost my daughter of domestic violence, so please young and old contact your local law enforcement," Parker said.

Warner Robins Sgt. Justin Clarke said Jayveon Bivins is still in custody and they are waiting for more search warrants. Bivins is charged with murder in Michaela's case.
