MACON, Ga. — On Tuesday, Macon Regional Crimestoppers and Central Georgia law enforcement came together to release their second list of the 15 most wanted fugitives in the Macon area.
Macon Regional Crimestoppers first announced its quarterly Top 15 Most Wanted initiative in late February. The initiative offers a $1,000 dollar reward for helping find fugitives.
Since then, law enforcement caught 14 of the first 15 people listed.
"It's made a noticeable difference in our community. Violence is down," said Crimestoppers chairman Warren Selby. "So, we're gonna continue the momentum."
Three fugitives from the newest list have already been apprehended. The defendants are wanted on charges like child molestation, aggravated assault, and voluntary manslaughter.
The 15 people on the second list are:
1. Larry Bryant, 24, on charges of street gang participation
2. Kenon Newbill, 32, on charges of child molestation
3. Terico Little, 22, on charges of aggravated assault and gang participation
4. Christopher Shinholster, 42, on charges of cocaine distribution
5. Lewis Wimberly, 39, on charges of possession of a firearm by a felon
6. Bobby Jordan, 39, failure to register as sex offender (CAPTURED)
7. Tykemia Watts, 24, on charges of aggravated assault
8. D'Anelo Moody, 21, on charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm
9. Eric Sims, 48, on charges of aggravated assault and battery (CAPTURED)
10. Zephaniah Langston, 19, on charges of rape and child molestation
11. Moses Rodriguez, 33, on 7 charges of battery and one of aggravated assault
12. Quontavious Williams, 31, on charges of aggravated assault, stalking and kidnapping
13. Carlos Jordan, 39, on charges of aggravated assault and robbery (CAPTURED)
14. Larry Johnson, 44, on charges of aggravated assault
15. Alonzo Sapp, 28, on charges of voluntary manslaughter
Central Georgia law enforcement are dedicated to finding these criminals, but are also asking people to keep an eye out.
"I'm a believer that a community is as safe as it wants to be," said Selby. "It's very important to be the eyes and ears for law enforcement because they can't be everywhere in the community."
Selby says several fugitives have been turned in thanks to civilians or turned themselves in after seeing the most wanted list.
Macon Regional Crimestoppers plans on continuing their Central Georgia Top 15 with updates every quarter.
