MACON, Ga. — Court records don't show much progress in the prosecution of four men accused of gunning down a Macon family in their own driveway last year.
Pinalkumar Patel, a Macon liquor store manager, died from his injuries.
According to the Bibb County Superior Court's filing system, there are no documents filed for Terrell Mills or Shaun Mills. There's a case initiation form filed for Donnie White, who was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony murder.
Keith Beddingfield, Jr., accused of being in a text chain with a group following the Patel's home Jan. 21, 2023, has an open case in the system, but there are no documents filed.
A news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office last year shows Patel's wife and daughter picked him up from work at Shurlington Package Store. They told deputies when they got out of the car at their 361 Thoroughbred Lane home, three men came toward them with guns drawn.
That's when deputies say the men fired at least five shots, killing Patel, and injuring his wife and daughter.
White appeared before a Bibb County Magistrate Court judge Wednesday and is currently in the Bibb County jail.
In September, Beddingfield was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center in connection to the case. He was in Valdosta State Prison at the time and is currently in Baldwin State Prison, according GDC website.
U.S. Marshals arrested Shaun Mills in Anniston, Alabama, last March. He's charged with felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault — one each for Patel's wife and daughter. Terrell Mills was arrested a couple of weeks after the triple-shooting. He has the same charges.
At the time Patel was killed, the sheriff's office said they were looking for four people in the car that night. Based on their announcements, it looks like they've arrested three they suspect of being there. Beddingfield, who was in prison at the time, is the fourth suspect.
13WMAZ asked the sheriff's office if that meant they're still looking for one more person. They declined to answer that question.
13WMAZ reached out to District Attorney Anita Howard's office to ask for an update on these cases. They did not respond.
