MACON, Ga. — Another man has been charged in the shooting of three people back in January on Thoroughbred Lane in south Bibb, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
Back on Jan. 21, 2023, at around 11:01 p.m., Pinal Kumar Patel and his family were coming home when three masked men ran up to them, according to a previous press release from the sheriff's office.
When Patel confronted them, they say the men shot and killed Patel.
Patel worked at Shurlington Package Store on Shurling Drive where regulars lovingly called him 'Mr. Pete.'
His wife, Rupalben and their child, Bhakti, were also shot. They both survived.
Now, on Tuesday, 20-year-old Donnie White was arrested and charged with felony murder. He is in the Bibb County Jail Tuesday night, and the sheriff's office says he does not have bond.
40-year-old Terrell Ugean Mills was arrested on Jan. 31, 2023, in the shooting. He was charged with felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
Then, on March 10, 2023, 37-year-old Shaun Mills was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Anniston, AL. He was also charged with Felony Murder and two counts of aggravated assault.
Back in September, Keith Beddingfield Jr., 33, was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center in connection to Patel's death.
Records from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office show Beddingfield was already in prison at the time of the shooting, and they say he was part of a texting chain with other suspects to follow the Patel's.
He was in Valdosta State Prison at the time.
They were originally looking for four people who were in the car during the shooting. However, with one of the people arrested being in prison at the time, the sheriff's office is looking for one more person who was involved in the shooting.
The case is still under investigation. If you have any information, you can call the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at 1-877-68CRIME or the Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
