A special Wendy's combo meal unveiled with an under-the-sea theme

Wendy's and their square patties will be teaming up with another iconic square for a one-of-a-kind meal deal and exclusive food items.

MACON, Ga. — Ever since "SpongeBob SquarePants" debuted in 1999, fans of the show have been dreaming of trying a real-life Krabby Patty. Now, thanks to a partnership between Paramount and Wendy's, they'll get that opportunity.

On Wednesday, Wendy's announced a new collaboration with the famous Nickelodeon children's show. The so-called "Kollab" is celebrating the 25 anniversary of SpongeBob hitting the airwaves. 

This anniversary and partnership have allowed for menu items from the show to be brought into real life for the first time ever.

The "Kollab" will feature Wendy's take on the Krabby Patty, with their "Krabby Patty Kollab Burger." It has the restaurant's famous square patty, two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles and onions.

The burger will also feature a secret recipe, just like the Krabby Patty in the show. It will have a "top-secret" Krabby Kollab sauce likely kept under wraps in a hidden and secret formula.

Paramount, which runs Nickoleadon, casts the initiative as a reflection of "Wendy's pulse on pop culture." They say the meal will be "delivering memorable and immersive experiences" for fans of the show. 

"'The Krabby Patty Kollab' marks another innovative way to continue the landmark 25th-anniversary celebration of 'SpongeBob SquarePants,' bringing Bikini Bottom to the surface like never before," CMO of Paramount Brand Studio Dario Spina said.

While Wendy's couldn't replicate the experience of living in a pineapple under the sea, they are allowing fans to manifest that reality with a new frosty flavor straight out of Bikini Bottom.

The "Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty" starts with a vanilla frosty base, that is then swirled with a pineapple mango-flavored puree swirl. This is the first time Wendy's has done a swirl-type flavoring in a frosty.

The promotion will begin on Oct. 8 for all Wendy's locations in the United States and Canada. People in Los Angeles can enjoy the promotion a day early on Monday, Oct. 7 through a unique drive-thru experience in Panorama City.
