MACON, Ga. — A Chick-fil-A milkshake that has spent over a decade off the menu will make its return on Monday as one of the Atlanta-based chicken chain's next seasonal menu items.

It's a take on a classic southern delicacy, banana pulling, but in milkshake form: the banana pudding milkshake.

Chick-fil-A's banana pudding milkshake first hit the menu in 2011, the company said in a press release. For the past 13 years, they say it has been off the menu.

Chick-fil-A says the milkshake incorporated Chick-fil-A's "Icedream" and mixes banana and vanilla wafer cookie crumbles. They say the milkshake comes together as "cool, comforting flavors," the press release said.

For early-bird banana lovers, the chicken chain is also introducing the Banana Frosted Coffee, a cold brew coffee infused with "Icedream" and banana and vanilla wafers.

The company says another fan favorite, the Honey Pepper Pimento Chicken Sandwich, is returning to the menu after it was introduced as a seasonal menu item for last Fall.

The sandwich includes a fried chicken filet topped with pimento cheese, drizzled with honey and "mild pickled jalapeños." This year, they are also offering the sandwich with a spicy twist, subbing the chain's regular chicken filet for a spicy one.

While the sandwich had only been off the menu for a few months, the company says when it was first introduced last Fall it became the company's "best-selling seasonal offering of all time."

The sandwich replaces Chick-fil-A's summer seasonal menu item: the Maple Pepper Bacon Chicken Sandwich. As the new seasonal menu items hit the menu, the Maple Pepper Bacon sandwich leaves the menu.

The press release does not say when the seasonal menu items will leave the menu.
