Weather Impact Alert | A breakdown of the damages, power outages and more due to severe storms in Central Georgia

Central Georgia was hit by a level 2 threat for severe storms on Sunday. Here's a full look at the impacts

MACON, Ga. — Central Georgia went through level 2 threat for severe weather today and tonight as a large storm wave rolled through.

Everyone in the area experienced strong winds possibly capable of causing damage.

Here is an overview of damages, power outages and more as a result of the severe storm moving through the area.

Power Outages:

According to Georgia Power and Flint Energies, several customers are seeing some power outages.

As of 7 a.m., the county that was most affected is Bibb County. They have nearly 1,500 people without power according to the Georgia Power Outage Map

Georgia Power had, in total, over 10,000 people without power late Sunday but most have since been restored.

Images of Damages:

With several strong winds during the storm, many branches and debris were scattered across lawns.

In some cases, winds were strong enough to take down trees.

People in Wilkinson County, Johnson County and Taylor County sent in photos to the 13WMAZ Weather Network on Facebook of trees being down, with other sending in videos of damages in Bibb County and Baldwin County.
