ATLANTA -- Ever wonder what supplies you should have in your tornado safety kit? Below you will find a full list of what you need. Remember, your kit should already be made prior to a severe weather event.
If you can't store the kit directly in your safe spot in your home, then it should be in a place that is easily accessible to your safe spot.
KIT SUPPLIES:
- Baby supplies (diapers, food, etc.)
- Pet supplies (food, leash, etc.)
- Gallons or bottled water for each member of your family (including pets)
- Flashlight or lantern with extra batteries
- Moist towelettes & garbage bags for personal sanitation
- Cell phone car charger or battery operated chargersFirst aid kit
- Cash (preferably in smaller bills)
- Sturdy shoes and gloves in case of broken glass
- Non-perishable food (canned goods, granola bars, etc.)
- Manual can opener for food
- Medicines
- Two blankets
- A change of clothes

- Helmet for each member of the family
