May 7, 2024 - Cordele, GA
Meteorologist Alex Pry took a trip down I-75 to Crisp County. He talks about Cordele's start as yet another railroad town here in central Georgi and also how it was state capital for a few days in the late 1800s.
Cordele is the "Watermelon Capital of the World", but why is that? Alex Pry also highlights the annual Cordele Watermelon Festival and a nearby recreation area, Lake Blackshear.
April 30, 2024 - Cochran, GA
Meteorologist Alex Pry talks about the history of Cochran, GA and how it was founded. Then turning the timeline to today, he highlights Bleckley County's esteemed school district as well a fast-growing local university.
The Annual Cochran Bible Reading Marathon is highlighted at the Bleckley County Courthouse, along with some weather history in Bleckley County and a famous spot for those with the need for speed in Cochran.
