MACON, Ga. — Spring is less than a month away and it's, of course, one of the most active weather seasons for Central Georgia.
The Climate Prediction Center releases its weather predictions for every upcoming season, so here's what they think will happen here from March through May.
We are expecting warmer than average temperatures, not only here, but across most of the Southern United States.
That means temperatures are forecasted to run higher than the low 70s in March, higher than the upper 70s in April, and higher than the mid 80s in May.
In terms of the prediction for rainfall during the spring, the Climate Prediction Center believes that we will be right around average for precipitation.
Throughout the spring, we average a little over 10" of rain. Now, this does not mean that we won't have cooler and drier days during the spring, it appears we'll be warmer than normal and on par with rain.
For the short-term forecasts, you can rely on Ben, Courteney, Alex and Taylor for all of those weather needs.
