MACON, Ga. — Many people in Macon and parts of Central Georgia looked up to the skies on Monday and saw something remarkable: a double rainbow beaming from the heavens.
When that happened, the 13WMAZ Weather Network Facebook group was overflowing with photos from across Macon of the magical sight in the sky.
Here are some of the best photos of the double rainbow sighted across Central Georgia Monday evening.
Captured in Jones County, 13WMAZ's very own Bernie O'Donnell took this gorgeous photo of the double rainbow Monday night.
This crisp photo of the rainbow in Macon was one of two photos shared by Weather Network Member Lorna Jones. This is what she called it: an "Absolutely stunning double rainbow."
This photo of the "beautiful double rainbow" was captured over Macon by Weather Network Member Alicia Smith in a residential neighborhood.
It was not just humans enjoying the double rainbow! Weather Network member Tracy Bowen Banks shared this adorable photo of a group of deer grazing in Jones County as the double rainbow shined overhead.
Carol Money shared this beautiful photo of the double rainbow over the lake in Lizella.
In Macon's Shirley Hills neighborhood, Christopher Hurley captured this photo of the double rainbow. While focused on the main rainbow, if you look in the corners, you can see the second rainbow.
This photo was shared in the Weather Network on Monday by R. Kitia Russaw from Byron. While the double rainbow is faint, Russaw said that the rainbow had a "perfect arch" over the neighborhood.
